Memorial Day to see some government, business closings

All governmental offices and many businesses will be closed Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day.

In New Albany, there will be no garbage pickup Monday. Following the usual holiday procedure, the city crews will collect the Monday route on Tuesday and the Tuesday route on Wednesday. The rest of the week will be collected as usual.

For those living in Union County, outside the New Albany city limits, there will be no change of schedule. Routes will be collected as usual all week.
