Mike Gresham, 76
February 9, 1949 – June 17, 2025
Michael “Mike” Leon Gresham, passed away on the 17th of June 2025, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital, Union County, in New Albany, MS, his birthplace, on the 9th of February 1949 at the age of 76. His zest for life, commitment to his family, and unwavering faith touched all who knew him.
Mike rejoined his late parents, Levitha Leon Gresham and Maxine Kiddy Gresham, leaving behind a loving family that includes his sisters, Patsy Harp (Tommy) and Lenette Vandergrift (Gary), his brothers, David Gresham (Brenda) and Preston Lee Gresham, his cherished children, Kenya Barnett (Steve), Leah McIntosh (Brad), Jason Gresham (Stephanie), and Kelly Gresham (Tracy), along with his adored eleven grandchildren, Isaac, Jason II, Jon Tyler, Morgan (John), MaKayla, Clayton, Caroline, Kirk, Lee Kathryn, and Lucas, and his precious two great-grandchildren.
During his 30-year career as a truck driver, Mike distinguished himself as one of the first drivers to navigate double-trailers as an over the road driver for Arkansas Freightways. He also left an indelible mark through his Christian faith and volunteer activities, including Vacation Bible School Director. Each Christmas, Mike found great joy in playing Santa Clause for children in the community.
Mike shared his love of Jesus with everyone he encountered.
Graveside services will be at McKay Cemetery in Hickory Flat on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Bro. Greg Hurt will officiate.
