Michael Ihle, 71

September 3, 1953 — October 12, 2024

Michael William Ihle, 71, died unexpected in his home Saturday, October 12, 2024. He was born September 3, 1953, in New York to Lenard William Ihle and Lela Delon Bacon. When Mike was still in elementary school, he and his family relocated to Tupelo, Mississippi. Following his Tupelo High School graduations, Mike had a long career in manufacturing. Working at Malone and Hyde and eventually retiring from Action Industries. Not able to just sit still, he was currently working at Tupelo Transit. Mike was an avid competitor. In his younger years he was active in softball, while at Action he was a member of the Action As softball team when they won the National Softball Competition, he competed in local tournaments with the Bandits, and following his playing days he coached. As he got a bit older, he began to actively enjoy competing in pool and dart tournaments. Most recently he was an avid cornhole enthusiast. Often traveling to Florida to compete and often win tournaments.



Mike leaves behind his two sons, Michael Shawn Ihle (Cala) of Fulton, and Jacob “Jake” Ridge Spearman of Pontotoc; two step children, Gary “Tink” Gann (Samantha), and Tanna Holcomb; two grandchildren, Krista Faith Ihle, and Rylan Elizabeth Ihle; step granddaughter, Ihle Gann Gilmore (Jackson); two sisters, Brenda Kremser (Bob), and Carol Ihle Williams (Steve); niece, Shelley Wilson; and nephew, who Mike thought of like a son, Shane Ihle (Dawn).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lenard William Ihle, and Lela Delon Bacon Dykes; and two sisters, Sandy Ihle, and Patricia Ihle.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday October 17, 2024, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues with Bro. Jimmy Webb officiating.
