Still no leads in search for Scott McQuary/UPDATED
Update:
Officers still had no good leads Thursday in the disappearance of West Union resident Scott McQuary.
They said they have pursued possible leads in Pontotoc as well as Union County but the last cell phone contact appeared to be in the National Forest between West Union and Oxford. The signal was not good and the national forest area is known for poor cell service at best.
Original story:
Law enforcement officials were still trying to determine the whereabouts Wednesday of a West Union man who has not been seen since this past weekend.
Union County Sheriff Jimmy Edwards said 49-year-old Scott McQuary has made no contact with his family since Friday night and has not been seen since Saturday morning.
He was believed to be driving a 2003 gray Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck with tag number UNI 5324.
The sheriff said McQuary, a construction worker, was paid Friday and his paycheck has not been cashed. His phone is either dead or switched off.
Anyone with information can contact the Union County Sheriff’s Department at 662-534-1943.
