Mississippi on Wheels rolls into New Albany
With daytime temperatures hovering around 70 degrees, Saturday October 17th was a perfect day to stroll around downtown New Albany.
Several hundred people wandered a large area of downtown New Albany that was blocked to moving traffic from the Courthouse to Railroad Street on Bankhead and south to Main Street. All that area, as well as the Regions Bank parking lot, was filled with classic and antique automobiles participating in the Mississippi on Wheels Charity Classic Car Show. There was a large variery of types and sizes, but they all had one thing in common: these well-loved cars were all bright, shiny and sparkling in the sunshine.
Most of the autos were there just to be admired and judged; others could be bought by someone with the right amount of money and the desire to own something rare. Here’s a sample of the wares.
