Mueller’s service honored at Supervisors’ meeting, May 31st
Thad Mueller was honored Tuesday afternoon for more than a decade of service as attorney for the Union County Board of Supervisors.
He was appointed as board attorney during the autumn of 2005, following the death of Lester F. Sumners. A former president of the Mississippi Bar Association, Sumners served as board attorney for more than two decades. Before his formal appointment as lawyer for the Union County board, Mueller, a law partner of Sumners, had been acting as board attorney for several months during which Sumners was in declining health.
Mueller has resigned as attorney for the Union County Board of Supervisors to accept appointment as Assistant District Attorney in Mississippi’s Third Circuit Court District.
He will continue to live in Union County and maintain an office here.
