Museum to close before grand opening of new addition
Union County Heritage Museum will be closed several days in preparation for the grand opening of the new addition. The museum is normally closed on Mondays, so we will be closed on Tuesday, Oct. 24 through Nov. 2. Regularly scheduled events will continue as scheduled, however beyond those events, the museum will be closed.
Final touches on the new addition, which cost approximately $1.1 million and added more than 6000 square feet, will be done which cannot be done when the museum is open, said Jill Smith, Director.
The event honoring the donors to the museum’s capital campaign will be Thursday, November 2, 6 – 8 p.m. and the opening for the public will be on Sunday, Nov. 5, from 1:30 – 3 p.m.
