Museum Moments program to address “Being Prepared”
Being Prepared is the topic of Museum Moments on Thursday, February 20, 12 noon at the Union County Heritage Museum. Union County Emergency Management Director Curt Clayton will detail the community’s effort at emergency preparedness and advise on how families should be prepared.
Those who remember the 1994 Ice Storm understand what the importance of being prepared means. Many people were out of electricity and could not navigate the roads for weeks during this regional disaster.
Do you have a plan to cope with emergencies? Whether you do or not, you are invited to hear Clayton talk about our community’s plan for emergency preparedness and consider ways to improve your personal plans, should an emergency occur.
A light lunch will be served beginning at 11:30, courtesy of Kappa Kappa Iota and the Museum Guild.
The museum is located at 114 Cleveland Street, New Albany, MS and for more information call 662-538-0014 or email uchm@ucheritagemuseum.com. The event is made possible through the museum’s Community Partner Program.
