NAHS students learn about film production

Students at New Albany High School had to the opportunity to learn more abouton Wednesday, September 13 during Vision time.  The speakers were Shane Sanford, Assistant AD for Broadcast Services, Ole Miss; David Dillard, Owner of Total Production Services, LLC; and Marks Mann, Show Producer, Ole Miss.  Students watched video clips that had been produced by Ole Miss Sports Productions. They also learned about the different crew positions associated with the productions such as producer, director, technical director, graphics operator, bug operator, associate producer, replay operator, audio operator, camera operator, and utility.  Students also learned about job opportunities with Ole Miss Sports Productions that are available for college students.

NAHS Patriot Day commemoration program

New Albany High School held a 9/11 Commemoration Ceremony on Monday, September 11 in the NAHS Auditorium.  The ceremony was organized and presented by the NAHS Junior Air Force ROTC.  The ceremony included the presentation of colors, the National Anthem, the Pledge, and a moment of silence.  In addition, students heard from those portraying people who were involved in the events of 9/11.  A brief history of 9/11 was read, as well as a video shown
