NAMS students go Christmas shopping for underprivileged kids

,

New Albany, MS- This time of year is about caring, giving, and helping others. That is what Ashley’s Angels does every year. Their mission is to provide clothing, shoes, and Christmas wishes for underprivileged children using a confidential process that involves local area schools. Ashley’s Angels needs elves to help do the shopping for the over 500 children whose Christmas gifts they provide. This year New Albany Middle School’s Student Council officers and representatives filled the role of elves.  NAMS took 38 students to help shop for the children of Ashley’s Angels. The students were given a list of needed items and the wish list of each child, along with a budget they had to work with. NAMS students took great pride in fulfilling each child’s list and were able to shop for over 37 children. The students have requested to do this every year.
