NAMS students tour University of MS and Rowan Oak
Melissa Tate’s Algebra I class and Troy Trout’s Accelerated English 8 class from New Albany Middle School enjoyed a field trip to the University of Mississippi and Rowan Oak on Friday, April 1.
Students were given a detailed tour of the National Center of Physical Acoustics and learned how math is used in working on the center’s many projects. The center has contracts from all over the world. The classes toured campus and enjoyed lunch at the Union.
The students enjoyed Rowan Oak and learned about many details of the era in which Faulkner wrote his novels.
