June 2, 1932 – February 14, 2025

On February 14, 2025, our beloved Nancy Pannell passed away at her home surrounded by the love of her family.

Nancy loved the New Albany community where she called home for over 70 years. Some may remember “Nancy’s Beauty Shop” which she operated out of her home for decades. Her real passion was her artwork. Of all the paintings, she most loved painting the way life was when she was a child. It was important to her for the future generations to remember how life was. Her historic work has been showcased in museums across the state.

Nancy was known for her kindness and sense of humor. Her antics had a special way of making life brighter for those around her.

Nancy’s greatest love was her family. She leaves behind her daughter Cindy Luther, three grandchildren Blake Luther, Bailey Tenner, and Reed Luther, and one great granddaughter Chancey Dobbs. She was preceded in death by her husband Kermit Pannell and her parents Mr and Mrs Hayward Coltharp of Nashville, TN. While Nancy is no longer physically with us, her love and laughter will live on with all that knew her.

Visitation will be on Monday, February 17, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. all at United Funeral Service.
