The Mississippi Department of Human Services’ welfare embezzlement scandal went national with news of Tate Reeves’ firing of attorney Brad Pigott. Pigott was fired after issuing a subpoena relating to $5 million dollars of federal welfare money given to the University of Southern MS to build a volleyball stadium.
