MS House Republicans have proposed a “revenue neutral” bill that will increase sales taxes while eventually eliminate personal income tax. The MS Economic Council opposes the move, which will actually increase taxes on the lowest 60% of earners, while lowering taxes on the 40% of highest incomes in the state.
