New Albany Chief of Police position now contested in upcoming city election

New Albany, MS- Paul Voyles qualified this morning for Chief of Police in the upcoming city election. He has been with the Police Department since November of 2011.  Mr. Voyles also submitted his resignation letter to the Chief.

Voyles filed to run as a Democrat against incumbent Police Chief Chris Robertson, also a Democrat.

At the time of this posting, the deadline for candidates to qualify to run for city office is just under 25 hours away, at 5 pm Friday, Mar. 3rd.
