New Albany Fire Department early morning call-out

NEW ALBANY, MS – At about midnight Monday/Tuesday, July 13-14, the New Albany Fire Department (NAFD) answered a call to a fire at 1026 East Bankhead.

NAFD crews arrived to find considerable smoke coming from the structure.

The fire was quickly extinguished.

Firemen searched the interior of the house. No occupants were found.

Deputy NAFD Chief Mark Whiteside told NEMISS.NEWS, “It is going to be under investigation.”
