New Albany Garden Club works with NAMS Garden Dogs youth group

New Albany Garden Club has been a proud sponsor of youth garden groups in the New Albany School District for several years.

New Albany Middle School’s youth group is known as NAMS Garden Dogs. They meet throughout the school year and take part in a variety of garden therapy activities such as planting seeds, making arrangements, and cleaning up the middle school campus.

This group is made up of students in Tracy Vainisi’s sixth grade EXCEL class and Jonna Rogers and Ashley Towery’s Life Skills class.

This month, they were busy putting together and delivering flowers to middle school staff members Franita Farr and Nurse Anne. They also created sixteen small arrangements for The New Albany Zesty Zeniors senior group.
