New Albany School District seeks community feedback in superintendent search
Three community interest meetings will be held February 13 as part of the New Albany School District’s superintendent search for for New Albany Schools.
The meetings have been arranged by the New Albany School Board and will be held Monday, February 13 at the Magnolia Civic Center in downtown New Albany.
The first meeting at 3:30 p.m. is open to building level administrators and Central Office support staff.
The second meeting at 4:30 p.m. is open to New Albany School District faculty and staff.
The third meeting, scheduled for 6 p.m., is open to any community stakeholder – parents, business owners, civic groups, and anyone else interested. School district employees are also welcome at this meeting but are encouraged to attend the 4:30 p.m. session.
The school board is working with the Mississippi School Boards Association in the superintendent search process.
The current superintendent, Jackie Ford, is retiring in June after serving five years as New Albany Schools’ superintendent and 44 total years in public education.
