New Albany’s Allie Bullock, winner of MS 1st Congressional District Art Competition
U.S. Representative Trent Kelly (R-Miss.) is pleased to announce the winner of the 2023 Mississippi First Congressional District Art Competition. Allie Bullock, a New Albany High School student, submitted her oil painting titled “The Climbing Tree.” Brent and Jennifer Bullock, Allie’s parents, said their daughter has been drawing since she could hold a pencil. Allie’s family was among the attendees at the ceremony that was held Friday, April 23rd, on the campus of Blue Mountain College.
As the winner of the competition, Allie will receive two plane tickets for a trip to Washington, D.C., where a ceremony will be held to recognize winners from across the United States. Her artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol rotunda for one year with other winners. For more information about the competition, please visit TrentKelly.house.gov.
Congressman Trent Kelly represents Mississippi’s First Congressional District. He serves on the House Armed Services Committee as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Seapower and Projection Forces. Congressman Kelly also serves on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the House Agriculture Committee.
