Noel C. Womack, 77

February 20, 1947 – October 13, 2024

TUPELO – Noel Womack was born February 20, 1947, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Flora Mae and Dr. Noel C. Womack, Jr. He grew up in Jackson, MS attending Jackson public schools and graduating from Murrah High School. After attending Millsaps College and Mississippi State University, he graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi.



Following graduation, he began his career in furniture supply sales where he enjoyed building loyal customers and gaining many friends along the way. Calling Tupelo his home for 55 years, Noel was a great supporter of his three sons in their pursuit of sports and especially scouting, helping all three sons reach the rank of Eagle Scout.

Noel was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Tupelo. He enjoyed playing golf, and spending many summers with his family at Pickwick Lake. Noel was also an avid sports fan, especially when it came to Mississippi State athletics.

He is survived by his three sons, Noel C. Womack, IV (Roxanne), Chris Womack (Christina), and Judson Womack (Brittany); his three grandchildren, Audrey Womack, Ava Womack, and Eleanor Womack; his mother, Flora Mae Womack (age 101); his siblings, David Womack (Susan) and Julia Coggins; a nephew, Judson Womack; and the mother of his children, Betty Womack.

Per Noel’s request, there will be no formal service nor visitation. The family will privately observe a time to celebrate his life. Condolences to the family may be posted on Noel’s memorial page at www.hollandfuneraldirectors.com/Obits.

Special thanks is extended to the staff of Countrywood Manor Assisted Living in Mantachie for their care and compassion in his final months. They were an absolute blessing to him and his family.
