Nora Davis Rogers, 68
February 15, 1957 – October 23, 2025
Okolona-Nora Ann Davis Rogers, 68, left this world and her disability to rest in the bosom of Jesus on Thursday, October 23, 2025, in Okolona. Nora was born on Feb. 15, 1957 to the late Travis and Margaret Presley Davis. She graduated from Okolona High School and Miss. State University where she received a BS Degree in Psychology. She married Hansel Rogers on Feb. 14, 1992 and to this union was born twin girls , Abby and Presley. Hansel died in 1992 as the result of an automobile accident, when the babies were 3 weeks old. Her Mom, Margaret and a wide circle of friends rallied to hold up Nora and the children until she could stand on her own. Her mom remained a steady influence and helpmate until her death in 2020. Nora lived a beautiful life of excess and need, love and loss, adventure and contentment. Her life was filled with endearing friendships, family and everlasting love of Jesus. Nora is now in the arms of Jesus and has rejoined her folks and many other friends and loved ones gone before. She was a longtime member of Okolona Christian Church but attended First Baptist Church. Her lesson to us is that there is Victory in Jesus!
Nora is survived by her daughters, Abby Cummings (Cameron) and Presley Palmer (Sam); her grandchildren, Case Inman, Sadie Inman and Abrie Palmer; two sisters, Ellen Burnham and Tonya Mathis; two brothers, Bud Davis and Jess Davis; her step mother, Thelma Ann Davis, nieces, nephews and cousins and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, Travis and Margaret Davis and husband, Roy Hansel Rogers.
