Oliver Lee Wicks, 79

June 8, 1945 – December 7, 2024

Oliver Lee Wicks “Bro Boy” was born on June 8, 1945, to the late K.C. Wicks, Sr. and Vera Mae Hamilton Robinson in Holly Springs, MS.  On Saturday, December 7, 2024, he transitioned at his residence in Holly Springs, MS.



Oliver accepted Christ at an early age and was a member and Elder of Greater Mt. Olive C.O.G.I.C. in Aurora, IL. He was employed for thirty-one years with Caterpillar. He was the owner of Wicks Auto Sales in Byhalia, MS. Oliver was an outgoing individual who enjoyed selling cars, riding motorcycles, traveling, watching westerns, American Idol, The Voice, and being around his family and friends.

Oliver leaves to cherish his loving memories: wife: Barbara Wicks of Holly Springs, MS; four sons: Joseph Oliver Wicks of Batesville, MS, Brandon Cornelius Wicks, Sr. (Bridget) of Holly Springs, MS, Justin Pratt (Catherine) of Collierville, TN, and Michael Pratt (Hillary) of Lake Center, MS; three daughters: Vonda MaShelle Wicks of Sardis, MS, Sarah Pratt, and Robin Currie (Jeremy) both of Dexter, MO; one god daughter: Schindel Holland of Aurora, IL; five brothers: Feldon Wicks of St. Louis, MO, Gary Wicks (Mary) of Flint, MI, Michael Robinson (Holly) of Aurora, IL, Tommy Robinson (Gwen) of Lake Cener, MS, and Freddie Robinson of Springfield, IL; one sister: Carolyn Greer (Eddie) of Oswego, IL; sixteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchild; mother-in-law: Thelma Brown of Dexter, MO; first wife: Loretta Wicks of Sardis, MS; his pets: Tinker Bell, Abigal, and Skittles; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Oliver was preceded in death by his loving parents: K.C. Wicks, Sr. and Vera Mae Hamilton Robinson; stepfather: Dan Robinson; father-in-law: Beaford Brown; three brothers: K.C. Wicks, Jr., Morris Wicks, and Ronnie Robinson; two sisters: Vorece Glover and Betty Jean Walton.
