Overnight Third Street house fire called a loss

New Albany firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire at 603 Third Street just before 2 a.m. Wednesday to find a heavily involved fire upon arrival.

Crews arrived and attacked the fire and brought it under control.

Fire Chief Mark Whiteside said the home was being remodeled and was not occupied at the current time. No injuries were reported and the cause is currently being looked at.
