Pamela Diane Kuykendall, 62

May 24, 1963 – May 8, 2026

Some people leave behind more than memories — they leave behind warmth, laughter, and a place in the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to know them. Pamela Diane Kuykendall was truly one of those special souls.

Pamela Diane Kuykendall, 62, resident of Myrtle, passed away suddenly on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. In honoring Pam’s personal wishes, she will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Born on May 24, 1963, in Los Angeles, she was the beloved daughter of the late George Kuykendall and Rose Marie Moore. A Christian by faith, Pam was known for her caring heart, vibrant personality, and deep love for the people and things that brought her joy. She was an avid Elvis fan who adored yellow roses and sunflowers, treasured the beauty of nature, and enjoyed camping and the outdoors.

Pam loved her family deeply and found great purpose in caring for her beloved lifelong companion, James. She had a passion for jewelry, cherished her many pets, and maintained countless friendships across the country through Facebook. Pam never met a stranger and had a heart that made others feel welcomed and loved — always wanting to be a mother figure to anyone who needed one. She also had a special affection for her car, lovingly nicknamed “George,” often speaking of it as though it were a dear friend.

Those left to cherish Pam’s precious memory include her beloved life partner, James Harper; one daughter, Sarah Tyler (Brian) of Jenks; one son, Bobby Joe “B.J.” Cobb of Myrtle; one sister, Debra Kuykendall of Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Johnathan and Meredith Tyler, Greysen Harper, and Natalie and Ryan Gillespie; two stepchildren, Brandy Gillespie and Troy Harper; her loyal canine companion, Missy; and her beloved feline friend, Jasper.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Georgie and Evan Kuykendall.
