Parchman Farm: Destination Doom exhibit opens June 21 at museum

 Parchman Farm: Destination Doom Exhibit will open Thursday, June 21, 12 noon, at the Union County Heritage Museum in New Albany.

The exhibit images are photographs from the Martha Alice Stewart, Time on Parchman Farm 1930s Collection. Stewart, a Union County woman, was nurse at the state prison for approximately a decade, from the 1930s to 1940. Her niece, Dr. Kate Stewart, will speak at the exhibit’s opening.

The public is invited.

A light lunch will be available at 11:30 AM, courtesy of the Pilot Club of New Albany.
