Patricia L. Sorrell, 76

September 2, 1948  –  December 13, 2024

BELDEN – Patricia Lane Greer Sorrell, 76, entered her eternal home on Friday, December 13, 2024 surrounded by her family at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. Patricia was born in New Albany, MS on September 2, 1948, to the late Henry Walker and Priscila Lane Williams Walker. She was a strong independent woman. Patricia worked for the State of Mississippi until her retirement at the unemployment office. She was the smiling face that greeted the people in the office. She was a strong Christian lady that had the faith to move a mountain. She was a Sunday school teacher at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. She was known for her cooking and sewing. She cared for her family and the community. She was affectionately known as Momma Pat to all who knew her. She was a true Medea.

Momma Pat is survived by her sons, Duane Greer of Huntsville, AL, Michael Sorrell of Tupelo, and Ricky Sorrell (Sheena) of Tupelo; god-daughter, Katrina Hatchet of Tupelo; and sister, Betty Walker of Tupelo. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willie Sorrell, and daughter-in-Law, Diannn Greer.
