Patrick Wallace Fears, 72

May 2, 1952  –  June 11, 2024

CHESTERVILLE – Patrick Wallace Fears was born May 2, 1952, to Annie Bell and Walter Fears. Patrick served for more than two years in the United States Navy. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. On August 31, 1981, he was united in holy matrimony to Minnie Clark and to this union two children were born. Pat enjoyed cooking, playing checkers, and going to the casino. He was a fun-loving person and never met a stranger. Pat was the kind of person who always made you smile. He was always filled with laughter and joy. He departed this life on June 11, 2024

He leaves to cherish his memories two children, Patricia Scherrie Dixon (Patrick), and Tilman Wallace Fears (Tequilla); two stepchildren, Al Clark and Sandra Floyd (Desmond; sister, Lula Moore of Detroit; three brothers, Albert Fears (Omega) of Blue Springs, Alfred Fears (Jessica) of Saltillo, and Horace Fears (Dorothy) of Tupelo; his grandchildren, Patrice Fears, Santez Penson, Santasia Penson, Jeremiah Fears, and Janiyah Fears; and his seven step grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Nora Sykes and Ida Bell Fears; brothers, Otha Lee Fears, Walter Fears, Jr., Lawrence Fears, Barry Fears, Tracy Fears, and Douglass Fears.

A Celebration of Life Service for Patrick will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, June 20, 2024, in the Sadie M. Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors in Tupelo with Pastor Patrick Head officiating. Visitation will be from 4 PM to 7 PM on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, and from 10 AM to service time on Thursday. Burial will take place at Chapel Grove Holiness Church Cemetery in Pontotoc County. For those unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed at 11 AM on Thursday at hollandfuneraldirectors.com/live-streaming where it will be archived afterward. Pallbearers will be Hedrick Fears, Santez Penson, Jeremiah Fears, Chris Fears, Charles Fears, and Al Clark. Honorary pallbearers will be Albert Fears, Alfred Fears, and Horace Fears.
