Patsy Fisher Taylor, born April 29, 1948, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2025 at the age of 76, in her home in Tupelo, MS. Pat was born and raised in McNairy County TN, before moving to raise her family in Bruce, MS. She was a loving mother, caring friend, and cherished grandmother. Pat touched the lives of countless people with her warmth, generosity, unwavering strength, and selflessness. She had a welcoming face with a beautiful smile and would always show up for the moments that matter. Pat was known for the best source of advice and a fierce defender of those she loved. Her legacy will live on through the memories and love she shared with her family and friends.
Her family likes to refer to her as the “Jack of All Trades” in that she was continuously seeking opportunities to broaden her experiences. Pat started at an early age in retail, followed by various jobs in management and sales, before being elected as the first female mayor of Bruce, MS. Her favorite career choices included being a flight attendant, managing gift shops on the Delta Queen Riverboat, the American Queen Riverboat, and Windstar Cruises. The travels filled her heart and gypsy soul enabling her to pursue a love of music and writing. Her piano music filled the United Methodist Church for decades, not to mention a few hotel ballrooms, honky-tonk barrooms, family living rooms and a couple of Nashville studios.
Pat is survived by three children, Clint Taylor (Beth), Marc Taylor (Chevis) and Jenny Wright; sister, Valinda Rose Diamond (Charlie), and brother Johnny Fisher (Becky); her grandchildren, Riley Taylor, Anna Brice Billingsley (Noah), Lola Taylor, Luke Taylor, Emma Taylor, Rivers Taylor, and Elia Wright; as well as special nieces, Amanda McCormick (Mark), Alicia Pharr, and nephew Chuck Wilkerson. She was preceded in death by her mother Delphia Fisher, brother Ronnie Wilkerson, sister Regina (Tink) Massey, and nephew Josh Wilkerson.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making contributions to St Jude in her memory. A visitation will be held Friday, April 18, 2025, from 12 PM to 2 PM at Holland Funeral Directors, 5281 Cliff Gookin Blvd, Tupelo, MS. Burial will take place at Lebanon Methodist in Michie, TN at a later date.
