Paula Ferrell Bailey, 79

Tupelo-Paula Ferrell Bailey, 79, a lifelong resident of Tupelo, Mississippi, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and unwavering love. She was born on November 23, 1946 to the late Edward Ferrell and the late Paulina Tutor Mayfield in Yazoo city, MS. With her striking bright green eyes and an uncanny gift of gab, Paula never met a stranger. She could strike up a conversation with anyone, turning fleeting moments into lasting connections. As a devoted caregiver and homemaker, Paula poured her heart into nurturing those around her. Her home was always open, filled with the comfort of family and the joy of simple pleasures. She was the undisputed Queen of Bingo at Longwood Community Living Center in Booneville, where her competitive spirit and triumphant calls of “Bingo!” brought smiles and excitement to everyone in the room.
Outspoken and unapologetically honest—sometimes a little too honest—Paula often found herself the butt of her own jokes, delivering them with perfect timing and a mischievous grin. She spoke her mind without fear, but always from a place of deep caring. Above all, Paula loved her family fiercely. She leaves behind countless cherished memories—stories retold with laughter, lessons shared with love—that will forever bring smiles to those who knew her best. Her big heart and larger-than-life personality touched so many lives and will be tremendously missed.
A service celebrating her life will be held at 1 PM Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel with Bro. David Perry officiating. Visitation will be at 11:00 AM till service time Sunday at Holland Funeral Directors. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to help remember Paula and serve the family.
Paula is survived by her children: Mack Miller, Jamie Bailey, Anita Clayton, and Sherri Williams; grandchildren: Micheal Clayton, Brittney Williams, Olivia Miller, Ashley Wilkins, Corey Miller, Brook Miller, Nikie Miller, Corey Cruize, Dallas Bailey, Dakota Bailey, Destiney Bailey, TJ Bailey, Hunter Bailey, Gabe Bailey; several great grandchildren; and one great, great-grandchild; brother, Ed Ferrell; sisters: Cindy Poe, Jackie Miller, and Carlene Ellis; and several other extended family members.
