Paulette Spurr, 68
July 12, 1956 – December 31, 2024
LONGVIEW COMMUNITY – Susan Paulette Parker Spurr crossed over to Gloryland on Tuesday, December 31, 2024. She was 68 years old. Born on July 12, 1956 in Tupelo, she was the daughter of the late Hugh Parker and Frankie Blankenship Parker. She lived most of her life in the greater Tupelo area. Paulette graduated from Tupelo High School in 1974 and attended nursing school at IJC receiving her RN there. She worked many years in health care at the old Bella Vista Unit of North Miss. Medical Center. She later went on to work as a material handler at Arvin and FMC. She then got back into nursing, and worked at Magnolia Manor as well as the VA Nursing Home in Oxford before she retired. Smart, sassy and adventurous, Paulette had a great life filled with lots of fun fishing in area lakes and streams and especially Florida and Louisiana shores, painting, being a master craftsperson and building crafts, working with her hands, growing flowers and making arrangements, doting over her grandkids, spending time talking to family and friends and traveling on cruises with her husband of 36 years, Rick Spurr, whom she adored. Paulette never met a stranger, lived a purpose-filled life and always made others laugh.
