Phyllis Young McMillan, 70

July 9, 1954 – September 21, 2024

PLANTERSVILLE – Phyllis Young McMillan died Sept. 21, 2024 at the The Courtyards in Fulton after a period of declining health. She was 70 years old. Born on July 9, 1954 to pioneer Lee County families, Mr. Stewart Young and Thelma Young Bass, Phyllis grew up in the Unity Community east of Plantersville where she enjoyed a pristine childhood. She attended the Plantersville Schools for 9 years and graduated from Shannon High School in 1973 where she was a standout basketball player. Phyllis was a beautiful lady with a warm personality and always smiling. She loved the outdoors and her animals.

A graveside-only service will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2024 at Unity Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 437 CR 1233, Plantersville, MS. Condolences may be posted on Phyllis’s obit page at hollandfuneraldirectors.com. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to serve their friends.

Phyllis is survived by her son, Chuck McMillan of Plantersville, and special friends, Addison Tripp and Roxanne Foster.
