Master Gardeners pleased with success of plant sale
Members of the Union County Master Gardeners said they were “very pleased” with Saturday’s plant sale and vignettes.
They estimated about 150 people had attended by 10:30 and many people were there at 7:30 before the official starting time of 8 a.m.
The sale offered a variety of both familiar and unusual plants. Special vignettes were presented on plant propagation, driftwood with succulents, creating fairy gardens and decorating birdhouses.
Extension Director Gina Wills was there to assist people who wanted soil testing done.
Visitors also had the opportunity to see the various exhibits in the Union County Heritage Museum, featuring the Union County High School art exhibit.
The sale was held at the museum in the outdoor exhibit area and Faulkner Garden.
