New Albany police investigate possible shooting

The New Albany Police Department was investigating a possible shooting Thursday night about 9 p.m. according to Chief Chris Robertson.

He said no details were available yet as they were still investigating but the incident apparently occurred in the area of Church and Simmons streets and it was believed that a young man was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County, although that has not been officially confirmed.
