Presley: PSC Charges 11 More Telemarketers for No-Call Violations

No Call violations

Jackson, Mississippi (October 31, 2018) – For the second week in a row, the Public Service Commission has charged multiple telemarketers with no-call violations. Public Service Commissioner Brandon Presley announced charges against 11 additional companies. The charges could result in a possible $1.7 million in fines.

The PSC’s investigation found that these 11 companies made  351 illegal calls to Mississippians. If found guilty of violating the Mississippi No-Call law, they are subject to a $5,000 per call fine. This would total $1,755,000. Notices of alleged violations have been recently filed against the following companies:

Crisp Marketing, LLC
Executive Marketing Group
Silver Tap, LLC
World Wide Vacations, LLC
NFS Group, LLC
The Office Gurus
One Way Funding, LLC
CarGuardian Warranty, LLC
Priority Health Consultants, Inc.
First Impression, LLC
Senior Supplement Research Solutions, LLC

“This is the second week in a row we have charged predatory companies with violating the State’s No Call Law. I’ve asked our staff to leave no stone unturned. We have doubled our efforts to stop these criminals. These companies will get the message that we mean business,” said Commissioner Presley.

Presley encouraged Mississippians to download the PSC’s new smart phone app. It can be found by searching “PSC No-Call” in the iTunes App Store or Google Play Marketplace. The app allows citizens to immediately report calls to the PSC from their cell phones. Also, landline phones can be registered at www.psc.state.ms.us or by calling Commissioner Presley’s office at 1-800-637-7722.

A charge is an allegation in an enforcement action. The companies involved in this investigation will be afforded all rights of due process of law.
