Final qualifier completes New Albany city election slate
The final candidate for this year’s city election tossed his hat in the ring mere minutes before the closing bell rang on qualifiers for the May 2nd municipal election.
Jerry Shiverdecker qualified as a Democrat to run for the Alderman-at-Large position. With four candidates qualified, the Alderman-at-Large job has the most qualifiers in the election. There will be no incumbent in the Alderman-at-Large race, as the current office-holder, Scott Dunnam, is running for the Ward 1 Alderman job.
