Rachel Neely Miller, 66

Rachel Neely Miller, 66, passed away at her home in Liberty surrounded by her loved ones on October 22, 2024. Rachel was born on July 18, 1958, to J.T. and Helen Neely in Jackson. She graduated from Tupelo High School in 1977. Rachel went on to work at Lee County Justice Court and retired from Boggs and Associates in 2023. In 1985 Rachel married the love of her life Mark Miller in Tupelo. Rachel treasured spending time with her family, and especially loved having big family gatherings at the family farm in Liberty. She enjoyed spending time in her yard and garden, canning vegetables, and tending to her many plants around the house. In her spare time, she enjoyed cross stitching and putting together puzzles. Rachel loved to cook and cater to friends and family.



Rachel was preceded in death by her parents; Julius T. and Helen Neely, Tupelo; Sister; Jennifer Neely, Long Beach; Nephew; Nick Cumberland, Diamondhead; Grandparents; Winnie & O.R. Neely, Liberty; and Bertha Lee and Connie Francis Grantham, Jackson; Cousins, James Michael Nunnery, Smithdale, George Wayne Nunnery, Liberty; Aunt and Uncle, Wayne and Betty Nunnery, Liberty.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Wiliam Mark Miller; Sons; Ted Grimes (Elizabeth)of Starkville. Kyle Miller (Samantha) of Saltillo, and Jeffrey Miller (Stephanie) of Brandon; Grandchildren Abigail Miller, Sadie Miller, Olivia Miller, and Olivia Boykin; Sister, Teresa Cupit of Dickson, Tennessee; Brother, Lee Wayne Neely of Saltillo; Nieces, Amanda Cumberland of Diamondhead, Kate McCarty (Josh) of Meridian, Neely Cupit Segura (Ruben) of Katy, Texas; Nephews, RJ Gonzales (Amanda) of Mobile, Alabama, Ryan Cupit (Jessica) of Katy, Texas, Clint Neely (Summer) of Spring, Texas; Sisters-in-law, Scarlet Fleming of Steens and Lorna Shirah of New Hope; Brother in law, John Fields (Patricia) of New Hope; Cousins, Fred Nunnery (Shannon), Patricia Rawlins of Snellville, Alabama, Melinda Culberson of Hoover, Alabama, and Mike Grantham of Hoover; along with numerous other cousins and family.

Pallbearers will be R.J. Gonzales, Ryan Cupit, Connor Moran, Nicholas Cumberland, Ruben Segura, Anthony Segura, Josh McCarty and Fred Nunnery.

Visitation will be held 12 until 1 p.m. Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Pegues Funeral Directors of Tupelo. Services will be held at 1 p.m. with graveside service following at Tupelo Memorial Park

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The American Cancer Society.
