Rickey L. McPherson, 63

May 10, 1963 – June 10, 2026

TUPELO – Rickey Lee McPherson, 63, died Wednesday afternoon, June 10 at his home. He was born May 10, 1963, in Tupelo, MS to the late Weylan and Hazel McPherson. He graduated from Tupelo High School in 1981 and attended Itawamba Community College. A resident of Tupelo, he owned and managed Mac’s Tire Center with his father and his brother, Hal McPherson, for over 40 years.

Rickey loved his Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, and was a faithful, lifelong member of Harrisburg Baptist Church. Rickey loved spending time with his family at home and at the lake. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing with the friends he made over the years.

Visitation will be from 12 PM to 2 PM on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at Harrisburg Baptist Church. Services will be at 2 PM with Rev. David Langerfeld officiating. His body will be laid to rest at Lee Memorial Park in a private graveside service for the family. Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo Chapel is overseeing the arrangements.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Roseanne McGill McPherson; daughter, Memory Lotton and her husband Daniel of Clinton, MS; daughter, Micah Lamar and her husband, Luke Lamar of Jackson, MS; brother, Hal Mcpherson and his wife, the late Deborah McPherson; three grandchildren: Mac Lofton, Laila Lamar, and Levert Lamar; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Phil McPherson.

His nephews will serve as his pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Bill Collins Sunday School Class.
