Rodney Clark, 60

March 16, 1964 – August 1, 2024

James Rodgers ‘Rodney’ Clark Jr., born on March 16, 1964, left us far too soon on August 1, 2024. Rodney leaves behind his beloved wife, Kathy, and their three daughters: Beth Brown (Eric), Jessica Webb (Ross), and Abby Clark. He is also survived by his mother, Mary Clark, one cherished granddaughter, Hadlee Elizabeth Brown, and one grandson Landon Brown. He had several nieces and nephews that he loved dearly, as well as many children he met through the years and loved as if they were his own. He is preceded in death by his father, James Rodgers Clark Sr., and his younger brother, Heath Clark.

For 3 decades, Rodney served as a passionate firefighter and emergency responder, dedicating his life to teaching and helping others. He was known for his willingness to assist anyone in need, whether it was pulling them from a burning building, leading them to the Lord, or simply mowing a yard. His selflessness and kindness knew no bounds.

In addition to his emergency response career, Rodney was a dedicated bowling coach for 15 years. He poured his heart into coaching, guiding, and supporting countless kids, helping them grow both on and off the lanes. His impact was profound, and he was truly one of a kind. His passion for bowling was matched only by his love for the bowlers and students he mentored and cared for at school.

In 2017, Rodney surrendered to preach God’s word and led services at numerous churches in the area.

Rodney will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

A visitation will be held at Martin Baptist Church on Sunday, August 4, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until funeral service time at 11:00 a.m. Bro. Andy Russell and Bro. Don Shaffer will officiate. Burial will be at Enterprise Cemetery.
