Roger Allen Huey, 62

July 14, 1963  –  February 18, 2026

Roger Allen Huey, known affectionately to all as Roger, a man of loving heart and creative spirit, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. Born on July 14, 1963, in Holly Springs, MS, Roger’s journey through life was one marked by joy, dedication, and the tender care of the many lives he touched.

Roger is survived by his devoted wife, Amy Huey, and their beautiful blended family that kept their home bustling with love and laughter. Together, they had four wonderful daughters, Kristen Yeager (married to Chris), Tiffany Hardin (married to Craig), Amanda Gargus (married to Brytan), and Megan Potts; and three sons, Cody Huey, Nicholas Keierleber, and Ethan Renick. His legacy extends to his cherished grandchildren, who will carry forward the lessons and memories from their beloved grandfather.

The bond of brotherhood was strong for Roger. He is remembered by his three brothers, Barry Huey (with his wife Lisa), Tracy Huey (with his wife Teresa), and Shawn Huey (with his wife Christy), who stand as testament to the family unity that defined Roger’s life. His stepfather, Clifton Holmes, also survives him, alongside the memory of his late parents, John Allen Huey and Sylvia Carol Shaw, and his grandson, Landon Cy Huey.

Roger’s professional life was characterized by his incredible talent and work as a pattern maker and designer at Sportsman Camo. His dedication to his trade only matched by his passion for the outdoors and the simple pleasures of life, like his beloved Mountain Dews, which were never far from his hand.

Those who knew Roger will forever recall the vibrant green of his well-tended garden, a testament to his green thumb and love for nature. An ardent fan of Ole Miss football, Roger also found joy in cheering on his team and sharing these moments with friends and family. Whether working in the yard or simply sitting on his front porch, he embraced the beauty of the natural world.

Roger will be remembered for his kindness, his approachability, and the boundless love he had for his family. A creative soul, he brought warmth and character to every life he touched, living fully with sincerity and generosity.
