Roger Douglas Crawford, 80, of Bluffton, SC, and formerly of Detroit, MI, passed away on August 20, 2024, at North Mississippi Medical Center. Born on April 22, 1944, in Cleveland, OH, Roger lived a full and accomplished life, marked by service, dedication, and a passion for the things he loved.

Roger proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, where he developed a strong sense of duty and discipline that guided him throughout his life. After his service, he embarked on a successful career as a marketing manager, where his innovative ideas and leadership were instrumental in shaping the success of the companies he worked for.

In retirement, Roger found joy in his hobbies, particularly sailing and boat building. His love for the open water was matched only by his curiosity and thirst for knowledge, as he was an avid reader with an insatiable desire to learn.

Roger is survived by his special friend, Janett Zarecki of Bluffton, SC, who brought him companionship and comfort in his later years. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Jacqueline Crawford, with whom he shared many cherished memories.

A memorial service to celebrate Roger’s life will be held at a later date. The Crawford family is being cared for by Associated Family Funeral Home, who is honored to support them during this difficult time.

Roger will be remembered for his kindness, his love for adventure, and his enduring spirit. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
