Roy Wayne Morrison, 54

October 11, 1971 – March 21, 2026

Roy Wayne Morrison, age 54, passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Tippah County Hospital.  Funeral services honoring the life of Roy will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at 2 PM in the Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 11 AM until time of service in the Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Roger’s Chapel cemetery.

Born October 11, 1971, in Ripley, Mississippi, to the late Alvie and Lacy Doles Morrison, Roy was a graduate of Ripley High School.  Roy loved country music, trains and wrestling.  He along with his sister, Patricia, faithfully watched wrestling every Monday. Wednesday, and Friday night., He especially loved the “old school” wrestlers, such as ToJo Yamamoto, Jerry “The King” Lawler and Jackie Fago, just to name a few.

Affectionately known as “C.L.” by his uncles, Roy had a deep love for animals.  He was especially fond of his sister’s cat, Oreo, who will miss him dearly.  Roy had a kind and gentle heart and lived a quiet life.

Those left to cherish his memory include his three sisters, Patricia Cornelious, Ann Mullins (Randy), and Nancy Nance (Keith), along with a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, including his special one Jeannie Walker, and his many friends at Ripley Funeral Home that he saw each month.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Len Morrison, and his grandparents, Marlis and Bonnie Doles and Ira and Thelma Morrison.
