Sara Gertrude Moore Paul, 95

Sara Gertrude Moore Paul, 95, departed this life on Thursday May 23, 2024 at Diversicare Health and Rehabilitation Center in Tippah County.



Funeral Services honoring the life of Mrs. Sara will be 1 PM Sunday May 26, 2024 in the Heritage Chapel of the Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Doc Shelton officiating. Visitation will be from 12 Noon until Service Time with burial following in Whittentown Baptist Church Cemetery

Born May 20, 1929 in Franklin County, Alabama, Mrs. Sara was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Elizy Scott Moore. She received her education from the Franklin County School System and was employed with Tidwell Mobile Home, clearing the way as a Mobile Home escort. While employed with Tidwell, Mrs. Sara worked with the Alabama location, before working with the Ripley and Blue Mountain location, when she met her beloved husband, Mr. Bobby Edward Paul, who survives. Together they attended and were members of West Ripley Baptist Church.

After Mrs. Sara’s retirement she found much joy in ceramic making and tending to her flowers, but her great love was traveling. Anywhere at anytime she was always ready to go. Throughout her life, Mrs. Sara and Mr. Bobby traveled all over the United States, driving from Key West, Florida to New York City. They also made a visit to Canada and Mexico while traveling in there earlier years. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and true friend. Mrs. Sara live a long full life and today we know that she has reached her finally destiny in Heaven, rejoicing with all of those she has longed to see. Well done thy good and faithful servant.

In addition to her husband, those left to cherish her memories include two step daughters, Connie Conely (Bart) and Gina Dunnam (Randy), one step son, William Robert “Bill” Paul (Wendy), seven grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.

She is also preceded in death by a set of twins, four children, Gerald, Cecil, Ruth, and Jimmy Dale, four sisters, and two brothers.
