Seth Michael Shatley, 22
March 7, 2002 – March 2, 2025
OKOLONA – Mr. Seth Michael Shatley, 22, died unexpectedly Sunday, March 2, 2025 while at his residence. He was born March 7, 2002 in Columbia, Missouri to Christopher Shatley and Beverly Sering Shatley. Seth, lovingly known as “Big Mike” to his family, was a high school graduate and continued his studies in college as well as earning a Certificate in Welding, which he loved, while attending Technical School. While living in Missouri, he was a Union Pipeline Teamster, working in the oil and gas industry. More recently Seth attended the Police Academy and worked as a Police Cadet in Okolona. He was a gifted mechanic who enjoyed working on cars, trucks, and motorcycles. He greatly enjoyed gaming with his friends, being outdoors, and spending time on the beach. He loved animals and they loved him back.
Seth was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association in Missouri as well as locally. He attended New Beginnings in Centrailia, MO.
Visitation will be from 1 PM to 2 PM on Saturday, March 8, 2025, in the Okolona Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors. A memorial service celebrating Seth’s life will be held at 2 PM with Chuck Edwards of the Christian Motorcycle Association, Tupelo, officiating. Survivors include Seth’s parents, Chris and Beverly Shatley of Okolona; 2 brothers, Eric Everhart of Millersburg, MO, and Dakota Shatley of Columbia, MO; 1 sister, Elizabeth Shatley of Okolona; and his fiance’ Gabriella Gray of Okolona; grandparents Steve and Brenda Sering of Deltona, FL, Kenneth and Phyllis Bertels of Laddonia, MO, and Cathy Brett of Centrailia, MO; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins whom he dearly loved. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard Brett and grandmother, Sherry Heisler.
