Sheila Bedford Parker, age 57, of New Albany, passed away on October 6, 2026, in New Albany following a vehicle accident. Born on November 27, 1968, in New Albany, she lived her life with a quiet strength, a kind heart, and a deep devotion to the people she loved most. Sheila was a Christian woman who was known as loving, thoughtful, and gentle. She carried herself with grace and warmth, and she had a way of making others feel cared for and remembered
She acquired an Associate Degree in business from Northeast Community College, a reflection of her determination and commitment to learning. Although she was disabled, Sheila continued to live with resilience and dignity. She faced life’s challenges with courage and a steady spirit, always placing her family and the happiness of others close to her heart.
Sheila found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life. She was the biggest Red Sox fan and enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time on the boat. She loved taking long walks, traveling, and staying in hotels, finding happiness in both adventure and peaceful moments away from home. Above all else, she loved her grandbabies, and they were truly the light of her life. Her love for them was boundless, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
Sheila is survived by her husband, Robbie Parker; her oldest son, Shane Staten; her son, Dylan Parker; and her daughter, Kortney Parker Eaton and her husband Harrison. She also leaves behind one sister, Peggy Hall and her husband Greg; two brothers, Randy Bedford and his wife Cathy, and Roger Bedford and his wife Mary Foley; and three grandchildren whom she absolutely adored, Conner Staten, Miles Eaton, and Maren Eaton. Her family was the center of her world, and she gave them her love freely and fully. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Linda Dillard Bedford.
Services to honor her life will be on Friday, October, 9, 2026 at Wallerville Cemetery at 10:00am. A visitation will be at United Funeral Service on Thursday October 8, from 5-7:00pm. United is honored to be entrusted with these arrangements.
