Shirley Ann Bingham, 87

Shirley Ann Bingham, 87, died March 25, 2026. Born in Tate County on April 4, 1938, Shirley Ann was the youngest child and only daughter of Myrtle and Bedford Fennell. She married Edward Lynn Bingham on November 3, 1956, and the two made their home in Memphis, Tennessee, where they later welcomed a son, Ronald Edward and a daughter, Lisa Ann.



Shirley Ann retired from George Holley Insurance after more than 40 years and served as president of the Pilot Club of Memphis. She was a longtime member of White Station Baptist Church and later, after moving to New Albany, Mississippi, an active member of the New Albany Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. She moved to Richmond, Virginia, three years ago to be near her four great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her brothers, Wardell Fennell and Joe Fennell (Glenna); her son, Ronald Bingham (Nancy) and her daughter, Lisa Skinner (Jeff); three grandchildren: Austin Bingham (Lauren); Mary Anne Moore (Logan), and Kellie Skinner; and four great-grandchildren: Etta Scott Moore, Davis Edward Bingham, Beau Bingham Moore, and Audrey Elizabeth Bingham. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years; her parents; her brothers WJ Fennell, Warren Fennell, Richmond Fennell; and a grandson, David Skinner. Memorials may be made to the David Skinner Scholarship Fund, Create Foundation, P.O. Box 1053, Tupelo, MS 38802. A private family graveside will be held at a later date.
