Steel structure taking shape on BNA’s new Tupelo bank

One week after the ground-breaking ceremony for the building, the steel structure for BNA Bank’s third Tupelo location is taking shape.

These photos, taken the afternoon of Tuesday, September 14, 2021, show construction of the steel framework for the new bank building being built at the center of downtown Tupelo.

NEmiss.News Workers building steel structureThe nearest business neighbor of the new BNA facility will be the iconic Tupelo Hardware Company, immediately west of the new structure, across Front Street and the Kansas City Southern railroad tracks that cross Tupelo’s Main Street.

The new bank building is about 200 yards north of Tupelo’s “new” city hall, which is in the developing Fair Park, and a similar distance west of the Hilton Garden Inn.

The new bank building is scheduled to be completed and open for business by Spring/Summer 2022 and will be BNA’s third Tupelo location.

BNA Bank, established in 1896, is a state-chartered bank with approximately $678-million in assets. It is one of the few ‘A’ rated banks by Weiss Bank Rating Services and was inducted into the Seifried and Brew Top 15th percentile of community banks. BNA has seven locations in Union and Lee counties and one loan production office in Lafayette County.
