NAMS student to participate in Arlington Cemetery wreath laying

Annsley Coleman, a sixth grade student at New Albany Middle School, recently received official notification that she has been selected to be a part of a formal ceremony where she will lay the wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery in the fall of 2020.  Coleman visited Washington D.C. and Arlington National Cemetery with her family in April 2018.  She was able to watch the wreath laying ceremony where a high school student from Virginia was given this unique honor.  Knowing that she wanted to be able to participate in the same way, Coleman researched how to apply and completed the application for the wreath laying ceremony.
