Tammy Jones, 63

Tammy Yvette Jones, 63, finished her earthly journey and entered life-eternal on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. Tammy was born in Oakland, CA on July 5, 1959 to Johnny Price and the late Claudette Price. After earning her GED, she earned her Associates Degree from Itawamba Community College, formerly Itawamba Junior College, and worked in the Personal Finance Industry until she retired in 2021.

Tammy married the love of her life, Terry Jones, in 1985. They lived in Saltillo where they raised their wonderful family and their home, “Tammy and Terry’s,” hosted untold numbers of gatherings for family and friends over the years. Tammy loved bringing people together, traveling to new places, and learning new things, especially DIY projects. She took pride in keeping her house and yard immaculate, cooking for friends and family (especially her grandkids), spending time at Dauphin Island, and embracing her spiritual journey. Her favorite things in this world, though, were fishing, being on the water, or doing just about anything with her loving husband Terry.

A memorial service celebrating Tammy’s life will be on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be from noon until service time at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo. Tammy is survived by her father, Johnny Price; her daughters, Shawnda Kramer of Tupelo and Johnnie Bass (John) of Memphis, TN; her son, Scott Jones (Lorie) of Oxford, MS; her grandchildren, Ben Jones, Ryle Holmes, Darby Holmes, Ella Bass, and Nate Bass; her great-grandchildren, Bennett Jones and Izzabella Jones; her brother, Johnny Price; and her sister, Ranee Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband and mother.
