Teresa Brown, 61

January 9, 1964 – July 25, 2025

Teresa Ann Ford Brown, affectionately known as Teresa Brown to her friends and family, left this world on July 25, 2025, in Tupelo, MS, at the age of 61 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in New Albany, MS, on January 9, 1964, to the late William Glen Ford and Barbara Ann Merritt Ford, Teresa’s life was a testament to love, passion, and kindness.

A devoted wife and mother, Teresa is survived by her loving husband of forty-four years, Ira Brown. Their union was blessed with one daughter, Tonya Brown Graham (Nathan), who, along with her cherished grandson, Austin Graham, brought immense joy and pride to Teresa’s life. She also leaves behind her caring mother, Barbara Merritt Hall, and her dear sisters, Glenda Ford Floyd (Chris), and Wanda Pannell Gonzales (Mike). Her father, William Glen Ford, preceded her in death.

Teresa’s early working years were spent as a florist at New Albany Floral and Gifts, where her creative touch and warm smile brightened the lives of many. Her nurturing spirit found its true calling at home as a housewife, where she poured her love and energy into making her family’s life beautiful and comfortable.

A Christian, Teresa was a member of Keownville Baptist Church. Her faith was an integral part of her life, and she lived it with quiet strength and grace, inspiring those around her.

Teresa’s interests and hobbies reflected her appreciation for the simpler pleasures in life. She had a green thumb, lovingly tending to her vegetable garden and enjoying yard work. Her adventurous spirit shone through in her passion for deer hunting and her love for a good road trip. Teresa’s keen eye for beauty and history was evident in her love for junking and antiquing, a passion that led her to share her finds in her antique store booth.

Those who knew Teresa will remember her as a passionate soul, whose love knew no bounds. She was the embodiment of kindness, always extending a helping hand or a comforting word. Her loving nature was the cornerstone of her existence and the legacy she leaves behind.

As we bid farewell to Teresa, we celebrate a life that was lived with a full heart and open arms. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive in the stories shared by her loved ones. Teresa’s life was a beautiful journey that touched the hearts of many, and she will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
