Theresa Louise Waldron Rutledge, 56
April 11, 1968 – October 3, 2025
Theresa Louise Waldron Rutledge, 56, of Etta, passed away on October 3, 2025, in Tippah County as the result of an automobile accident.
Theresa was born on April 11, 1968, to Robert Dean Waldron and Rebecca Nesselroad Waldron. She grew up surrounded by love and carried that same love into every corner of her life. For 35 years, she was devoted to her husband, Kenneth Rutledge, and together they raised one son, Chauncey Rutledge, who was her pride and joy. Her family was her heart, and her happiest moments were those spent surrounded by them.
She is survived by her mother, her loving husband, Kenneth; her son Chauncey and daughter-in-law Jessica; her grandchildren, Waylen and Callie, whom she adored beyond measure; her sisters Patricia Shettles, Cassandra Killough, and Christina Stewart (Tommy); her uncle Jimmy Nesselroad (Linda); her brother in law and sister-in-law Randy and Amy Rutledge; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who all felt the warmth of her love. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Dean Waldron, her niece Torrie Rutledge, and her nephew Tyler Lucus.
Theresa’s life was marked by service, faith, and joy. A faithful member of Church of Acts in New Albany, she lovingly taught Sunday school, planting seeds of faith in the lives of children. She enjoyed working at Ole Miss ballgames, a role that brought her energy and fun. She also found joy in cooking, baking, making flower arrangements, and shopping—always sharing her talents and creations with those she loved. Her family fondly remembers her as one of the luckiest people they knew, often winning drawings and raffles and turning even small moments into celebrations.
Animals held a special place in Theresa’s heart. She cherished her dogs Pixie, Shaggy, and Pinky, her cat Big Head, and her beloved grand-dogs.
Theresa’s legacy will live on in her family and in the countless lives she touched with her kindness, humor, and unwavering love.
